Hasbro Gaming Monopoly: Rick and Morty Edition Board Game, Cartoon Network Game for Families and Teens 17+, Includes Collectible Monopoly Tokens (Amazon Exclusive)

4.7 · 542 reviews

This Hasbro Gaming edition of Monopoly transports the classic property-trading game into the chaotic, dimension-hopping world of Rick and Morty, official Cartoon Network merchandise built for adult fans and older teens rather than kids. Players move around the board as one of six collectible tokens, including the Council of Ricks Badge, a Meeseeks Box, a Portal Gun, a Plumbus, Rick's Car, or Snuffles' Helmet, buying and trading familiar Multiverse locations like the Cromulon Dimension, Gazorpazorp, and Planet Squanch. Instead of standard Monopoly money, the game runs on custom Flurbo currency along with Flooble Cranks and Gooble Boxes, plus Interdimensional Cable and Get Schwifty cards that swap in for Chance and Community Chest, all wrapped in language and humor lifted straight from the show.

About Hasbro Gaming Monopoly: Rick and Morty Edition Board Game, Cartoon Network Game for Families and Teens 17+, Includes Collectible Monopoly Tokens (Amazon Exclusive)

This is Monopoly rebuilt around Rick and Morty's dimension-hopping chaos rather than Atlantic City. You still buy, sell, and trade properties and try to bankrupt everyone else at the table, but every piece of the game has been reskinned: the tokens, the money, the chance-style cards, even the properties themselves are pulled straight from the show's Multiverse.

This is a genuinely separate listing from another Rick and Morty Monopoly already in this catalog, a USAopoly-published collector's edition, but honest research turns up something worth saying plainly: the game inside the box is close to identical. Both editions use the same six tokens, the same Flurbo currency, and the same Flooble Cranks and Gooble Boxes. What differs is the publisher and the packaging tier: this one is published directly under the Hasbro Gaming line with Cartoon Network branding as a standard Amazon Exclusive, while the other is a USAopoly collector's edition with a larger review base. If you already own one, you don't need both.

Real owners describe it as the classic Monopoly ruleset wearing Rick and Morty's skin: the property-trading, rent-collecting core is unchanged, but the card names, token designs, and money jokes are steeped in the show's absurdist humor. A couple of notes worth knowing before you buy: this listing has multiple third-party sellers alongside Amazon itself, and at least one buyer received a box sealed with tape instead of factory shrink wrap, though the components inside were complete and undamaged.

The Honest Take

What We Like and What We Don't

What we like

  • Faithful pop culture reskin of Rick and Morty's absurdist humor across tokens, cards, and money names
  • Genuinely officially licensed Cartoon Network merchandise, not a bootleg knockoff
  • Strong rating across hundreds of verified buyers
  • A real, playable Monopoly set rather than just a shelf piece for collectors
  • Solid gift pick for fans who already collect themed Monopoly editions

What holds it back

  • Sold by third-party marketplace sellers as well as Amazon directly, so a couple of reviewers mention being unsure of authenticity before ordering, though all confirmed genuine on arrival
  • At least one reviewer received a box sealed with tape rather than factory shrink wrap
  • Manufacturer does not list an estimated playing time, and like classic Monopoly, a full game can run long

Is This For You?

Who Should (and Shouldn't) Buy This

Get it if…

Get it if you or the Rick and Morty fan you're buying for wants a genuinely playable, officially licensed Monopoly set with the show's humor built into the tokens, cards, and money, and you don't already own the USAopoly collector's edition of the same game.

Skip it if…

Skip it if you already own the USAopoly Rick and Morty Monopoly collector's edition, since the tokens, currency, and theming are nearly identical, or if you're shopping for a Monopoly night that includes kids, since this edition is explicitly marketed to adults and teens 17 and up.

The verdict

If you want a Rick and Morty Monopoly set and don't already own the USAopoly collector's edition, this Hasbro Gaming version delivers essentially the same tokens, currency, and card gimmicks in a simpler package, backed by a strong rating from hundreds of buyers. It suits fans who want to actually play a themed Monopoly night rather than display a numbered collector's item, and it makes a solid gift for anyone who already loves the show.

What Real Buyers Say

5.0

If you are a fan of Rick and Morty, I would definitely get this. My children and I have started a collection of different Monopoly games and I saw this and had to have it, and I am so glad I bought it. The pieces are great, the board is great, the cards are great, everything about this, even down to the money and what they call the money, is great.

United States

5.0

I love board games, and when someone mentions Monopoly I usually think it takes so long, but I can stand the time commitment with this version. The player pieces are great, the artwork looks amazing, all sorts of fun zany characters. I think the value is worth it if you love Rick and Morty.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and I'm pretty sure he just wants to add it to his collection, but I definitely don't like how the only thing that sealed the game was tape that could have easily been removed. Other than that, overall great experience.

I wasn't sure if this would be a legit copy after seeing several others for sale on Amazon, but literally could not find it anywhere else, so I decided to try my luck with this. Received in good condition and everything packaged inside as it should be. Definitely worth it if you're looking to add to your Monopoly or Rick and Morty collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from the other Rick and Morty Monopoly sold on this site?

This Hasbro Gaming, Cartoon Network branded version and the other USAopoly collector's edition use nearly the same game content, including the same six tokens, the same Flurbo currency, and the same Flooble Cranks and Gooble Boxes. The main differences are the publisher, the packaging and box art, and the size of each edition's review base, not the actual gameplay or theming.

How many players does it support and what age is it recommended for?

It plays 2 to 6 people and is marketed by Hasbro for adults and teens 17 and up, in line with Rick and Morty's adult animated content.

What replaces the standard Monopoly money and Chance and Community Chest cards?

Money is replaced with custom Flurbo currency, Flooble Cranks and Gooble Boxes stand in for houses and hotels, and Interdimensional Cable and Get Schwifty cards take the place of Chance and Community Chest, each themed around the show.
