Each egg (3.3 inches tall) opens to reveal an 8.7 inch dragon with flexible joints, so it can be posed on a hand, a desk, or perched back on its egg. Comes in blue and purple, made from resin that's better handled gently. Good fit for a kid who likes fidget toys and small collectibles more than action figures.

About 2 Pack Dragon Eggs with Dragon Inside, Dragon Egg Fidget Toy, 3D Dragon Eggs with Dragon Inside, Mystery Dragon Egg, 3D Printed Dragon Egg, Stocking Easter Basket Stuffers

Surprise-reveal fidget toys have become one of the more fun corners of the fidget category: instead of squeezing or twisting the same shape over and over, the appeal is in opening something up to see what's inside, then closing it and doing it again. A dragon egg fidget toy is built around exactly that loop. The outer egg looks like a smooth, faceted piece of desk decor until it's opened to reveal a small poseable dragon tucked inside, which is a big part of why this style of toy has done so well as a stocking stuffer, Easter basket filler, and party favor.

This particular set is two eggs, one blue and one purple, each about 3.3 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide, with a dragon inside that measures roughly 8.7 inches long once it's unfolded. Both the egg and the dragon are 3D printed from resin, with a glossy, color-shifting finish that changes slightly depending on the angle it's viewed from. The dragon's joints are flexible, so once it's out of the egg it can be posed sitting on a hand, standing on a desk, or perched back on top of its own egg rather than just laid flat. It's a small, lightweight piece, easy to toss in a bag for school, work, or a car ride, but it does carry a choking hazard warning for small parts and isn't intended for kids under 3.

This one's a good fit for a kid (or adult) who gets more excited by a mystery reveal and a small collectible than by a toy that has to be built or assembled, and it works just as well as a small gift add-on as it does a standalone present. It's less of a fit for a rougher-handed toddler or a household where things need to survive being dropped repeatedly, since the resin is more delicate than a typical plastic toy.

The Honest Take

What We Like and What We Don't

What we like

  • Genuine surprise element: the dragon stays hidden until the egg is opened, which is most of the appeal
  • Glossy, color-shifting 3D-printed finish that reviewers describe as more vibrant in person than expected
  • Dragon's joints let it be posed on a hand, a desk, or perched back on its own egg instead of lying flat
  • Two different egg colors (blue and purple) in one pack, so there are two separate reveals
  • Small and light enough to pack for travel, school, or a desk at work
  • A repeat pick for Easter baskets, stockings, and party favor bags, according to buyers who used it that way

What holds it back

  • Durability is the most common complaint: the resin dragon can crack or shatter if it's forced open or dropped
  • Comes with a choking hazard warning for small parts and isn't recommended for children under 3
  • Only two colors per pack, so a kid who wants a bigger collection will need to buy more than one set
  • Sold by a third-party seller rather than the brand's own storefront, which is normal for this kind of novelty toy but worth knowing going in

Is This For You?

Who Should (and Shouldn't) Buy This

Get it if…

Get it if you want a small, genuinely surprising gift add-on for an Easter basket, stocking, or party favor bag, or if the kid you're shopping for likes cracking open a mystery toy more than building or assembling one. It also works fine as a lightweight desk trinket or tabletop prop for older kids, teens, or adults.

Skip it if…

Skip it if you're shopping for a toddler under 3 (it carries a small-parts choking hazard warning), if the child in question tends to handle toys roughly, since the resin can crack or shatter under real force, or if you're after a bigger multi-color collection in a single purchase, since this pack only includes two eggs.

The verdict

For what it is, a small novelty fidget with a genuine surprise built in, this set does the job well: the reveal is satisfying, the two color options give it a bit of variety, and it's sized right for a stocking or Easter basket. Just handle it gently and set expectations that this is a delicate collectible rather than a toy meant to survive being dropped or banged against a table to pry it open.

What Real Buyers Say

5.0

These things are so cool and cute. My son (10 years old) was telling me about them so we got some for Christmas. It looks like the colors change when you move them, they have a cool texture because they are 3D printed. The quality is good for a 3D printed item and they seem durable. you are able to move them easily and I love how it comes with 2 different ones/color combos packaged in the neat little eggs. My son loves them and was so excited when he opened them.

Used these as the "special" egg for my boys to find on Easter. The egg itself is very hardy and great quality. The dragons are what you expect for 3d printing. Colors are spot on and my boys have enjoyed playing with them.

Gave each of my kids one and they loved them. They were fun to play with and super cute gifts for Easter. The colors were very pretty. My only disappointment is one broke almost immediately because my son put the dragon back in its egg and had difficulty reopening so he banged it against the table trying to crack it open and when it opened the dragon shattered into a bunch of pieces. I know they are delicate but I don't think he banged it that hard to justify it breaking as easily as it did.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the dragon inside the egg be posed in different positions?

Yes. The dragon has flexible joints, so once it's out of the egg it can be posed sitting on a hand, standing on a table, or perched back on top of the egg it came in, rather than staying in one fixed position.

Is this dragon egg fidget toy safe for young children?

It carries a choking hazard warning for small parts and isn't recommended for children under 3. It's a better fit for school-age kids and up who won't try to mouth the pieces.

What is the dragon and egg made of?

Both the egg and the dragon inside are 3D printed from resin, with a glossy, color-shifting finish. They're lightweight and poseable, but resin is more delicate than a typical injection-molded plastic toy.

How durable are these dragon eggs?

Durability is mixed. Most buyers report the eggs and dragons holding up fine to normal handling and posing, but some note the resin can crack or shatter if it's forced open or dropped, so gentle handling matters more here than with a standard plastic toy.

What comes in the 2 Pack?

The set includes two separate dragon eggs, one blue and one purple, each one opening to reveal its own poseable 3D-printed dragon inside.
