About CATAN (6th Edition)
This is a strategy game for a tween ready for more than Monopoly or Uno: players gather resources, build, and compete for victory points, and because the board is modular, no two games play the same. It is rated for ages 10 and up and averages 4.6 stars across 1,533 ratings on this 6th Edition listing.
Two practical points from the listing. The base game is for 3 to 4 players, and a bigger group needs the 5-6 Player Extension, which is sold separately. The listing also gives 60 to 90 minutes, so plan a game night rather than a quick round.
